Educational Philosophy
At Goodall School, we are dedicated to an educational approach that intertwines the principles of Constructivism with the Linguistic Philosophy of education.
Our goal is to empower students with the skills and confidence to navigate an ever-evolving world while developing a passion for lifelong learning. Students will engage critically and creatively with their education, fostering skills in communication, comprehension, and interpretation.
Constructivism
We believe that students learn most effectively when they actively construct their own understanding through meaningful experiences and interactions building knowledge based on their personal experiences and reflections.
Linguistic Philosophy
We acknowledge that language is not just a tool for communication but a fundamental part of thinking and learning. Through rich dialogue, inquiry, and collaboration, students develop their ability to express ideas, question assumptions, and deepen understanding.
Dedicated Individual Attention
Our microschool environment fosters a tight-knit community where every student is truly seen and valued. With smaller class sizes and a personalized approach, our dedicated instructors provide extensive 1:1 attention as needed that supports each student’s individual strengths and needs.

Content Cohorts
At Goodall School, students ages 5-12 are placed in Cohorts instead of traditional grade levels. Placement is determined by a range of factors including pre-admissions testing, interviews, transcripts, and references. This allows for students to perform on a range of levels in core subject areas and to be placed in groupings that study developmentally appropriate content.
Daily Schedule
At Goodall School, students will follow a structured schedule that allows for choice in content studied during that time by selecting from a menu of options within their course catalog. Students will regularly set goals and check in with the Principal Instructor on their progress. We will also include remote learning days throughout the year to promote independence and time management. This balanced approach ensures students develop into confident, self-directed learners prepared for future success.

Technology
In delivering the curriculum, we will utilize digital and online curricula and instructional materials for mastery of core content skills. While technology is not exclusively used for instruction, we believe that students should leverage technology to enhance their learning, gaining access to resources, tools, and personalized instruction that support deeper understanding and skill development in an effectual manner.
Digital Citizenship
Goodall School will implement Transformational Learning Principals when approaching utilization of technology in the educational setting with students. The integration of technology in the classroom will be carefully implemented alongside thorough instruction in digital citizenship and safe online practices, ensuring that students are empowered to use technology effectively, responsibly, and safely from the very beginning.
